Advanced Body Treatments – INVYDOM

Invydom is a comprehensive body treatment combining thermal therapy, suction, energy therapy (microcurrent), and cavitation to support body contouring, circulation, muscle recovery, and overall body balance. Proper before and aftercare is essential to maximise results and support your body’s natural processes.

Before Your Invydom Treatment

To prepare your body and ensure optimal results, please follow the guidelines below:

  • Drink plenty of water in the 24 hours prior to your appointment to support lymphatic flow and detoxification.
  • Avoid alcohol and heavy meals for 12–24 hours before treatment.
  • Do not apply body lotions, oils, or creams to the treatment area on the day of your appointment.
  • Avoid intense exercise on the day of your treatment.
  • Please inform your therapist if you:
    • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
    • Have a pacemaker, metal implants, or electronic medical devices
    • Have heart conditions, epilepsy, cancer, or autoimmune disorders
    • Have varicose veins, hernias, or circulatory disorders
    • Have recently had surgery, injections, or other body treatments
    • Are currently unwell or experiencing inflammation or infection

For safety reasons, the treatment may be modified or postponed if contraindications are present.

After Your Invydom Treatment

Your body will continue to process the treatment effects for several hours to days after your session. To support this:

  • Drink plenty of water for the next 24–48 hours to assist lymphatic drainage and elimination of waste.
  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours post-treatment.
  • Avoid intense exercise, saunas, steam rooms, or hot baths for 24 hours.
  • Light movement such as walking is encouraged to stimulate circulation.
  • Maintain a balanced diet to support fat metabolism and tissue recovery.
  • You may experience warmth, mild tenderness, redness, or slight swelling in treated areas — this is normal and typically resolves within 24–72 hours.

Aftercare Notes by Treatment Mode

Thermal & Suction Therapy

  • Temporary redness or sensitivity may occur due to increased circulation.
  • Avoid tight clothing over treated areas for the rest of the day.
  • Gentle stretching and hydration will help ease muscle tension.

Energy Therapy (Microcurrent)

  • You may feel deeply relaxed or energised after treatment.
  • Mild muscle soreness can occur as ATP production and muscle activity increase.
  • Results improve cumulatively with regular sessions.

Cavitation

  • The body eliminates liquefied fat naturally through urine and sweat.
  • Hydration is essential for best results.
  • Avoid alcohol and high-fat meals for 24–48 hours to prevent reabsorption of released fat.

Recommended Treatment Course

For best results, a course of treatments is recommended depending on your goals (body shaping, cellulite management, muscle recovery, or circulation support). Your therapist will tailor a plan specific to your body and concerns.

Important Note

Invydom is a non-invasive body treatment designed to support body contouring, circulation, muscle relaxation, and overall wellbeing. Results vary between individuals and depend on lifestyle, hydration, and consistency of treatments. This treatment is not a weight-loss solution but a body refinement and optimisation therapy.

If you experience prolonged discomfort, swelling, or have any concerns after your treatment, please contact us.

Manicure & Pedicure

To ensure the best results and longevity from your manicure or pedicure, please follow the guidelines below. We use CND nail polish for our regular manicures and pedicures, and Gelish or Designer Nails for gel manicures and pedicures.

Before Your Manicure or Pedicure

Please arrive with nails in good condition and follow these guidelines prior to your appointment:

  • Avoid cutting or aggressively filing your cuticles for at least 48 hours before your appointment.
  • If you are booked for a gel manicure or pedicure, please ensure your nails are free of existing gel, acrylic, or nail enhancements unless the gel was previously applied by our salon.
  • We are happy to remove gel polish that was applied by our salon; however, this must be booked as a Soak Off & Gelish Manicure or Pedicure to allow sufficient time for safe removal.
  • We do not offer removal services for acrylics, hard gel, builder gel, false nails, or gel polish applied by other nail technicians or salons.
  • Please inform your nail technician if you:
    • Have nail or skin conditions (e.g. fungal infections, open cuts, warts, or infections)
    • Have diabetes, circulation issues, or sensitive skin
    • Are pregnant or have any medical conditions that may affect your treatment

For hygiene and safety reasons, treatments may be declined if contraindications are present.

After Your Manicure or Pedicure

To maintain your results and extend the life of your nails:

  • Avoid hot water, saunas, steam rooms, or heavy hand or foot use for at least 2–3 hours after your treatment.
  • Apply cuticle oil daily to nourish nails and surrounding skin.
  • Wear gloves when cleaning or using chemicals.
  • Avoid using nails as tools to prevent chipping or lifting.

Aftercare for Regular Polish (CND)

  • Allow adequate drying time and avoid pressure on nails for several hours.
  • Be mindful of tight footwear following pedicures.
  • Regular polish is not as durable as gel and may chip sooner with daily wear.

Aftercare for Gel Manicure or Pedicure (Gelish / Designer Nails)

  • Avoid heat and water exposure for 2–3 hours after your appointment.
  • Do not pick, peel, or force off gel polish, as this can damage the natural nail.
  • Gel polish should always be professionally removed.
  • Gel removals are available only for gel polish previously applied by our salon and must be booked as a Soak Off & Gelish Manicure or Pedicure.
  • Regular maintenance appointments are recommended to keep nails healthy and looking their best.

Important Note

We do not remove or work over acrylics, false nails, hard gel, builder gel, or gel polish applied by other salons. If you are unsure whether your current nail product is suitable or was applied by us, please contact us prior to booking.

Advanced Skin Therapy

Our Advanced Skin Therapy treatments — including Plaser, Celvix AirJet, FracSono, and Plamode — are designed to stimulate deep skin regeneration, improve texture and tone, enhance firmness, and support long-term skin health. Due to the advanced technology used, correct before and aftercare is essential for optimal results.

Before Your Advanced Skin Therapy Treatment

To prepare your skin and ensure safe, effective results:

  • Maintain a simple, supportive skincare routine in the days leading up to your treatment.
  • Avoid active skincare (Vitamin A/retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, exfoliating acids, or corrective treatments) for 3–5 days prior.
  • Avoid excessive sun exposure and always wear SPF in the lead-up to your appointment.
  • Do not wax, thread, dermaplane, or exfoliate the treatment area for 7–14 days prior (depending on treatment).
  • If you have had injectables (Botox or filler), please wait 3–14 days before treatment, or follow your therapist’s guidance.
  • Arrive with clean skin where possible (no heavy makeup).
  • Please inform your therapist if you:
    • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
    • Have metal implants, a pacemaker, or medical devices
    • Have autoimmune conditions, epilepsy, cancer, or chronic illness
    • Have active acne lesions, infections, or compromised skin
    • Have recently had cosmetic or medical procedures

Your treatment may be modified or postponed if contraindications are present.

During Your Treatment

What you may experience:

  • These treatments are non-invasive.
  • Sensations may include warmth, tingling, vibration, or pressure.
  • With Plaser, you may notice a slightly rough or sandy texture on the skin — this is normal and part of the skin renewal process.
  • Treatments work beneath the surface, stimulating collagen, elastin, circulation, and skin regeneration.

After Your Advanced Skin Therapy Treatment

Your skin will continue working for days and weeks after treatment. To support recovery:

  • Mild redness, warmth, tightness, flaking, or sensitivity may occur — this is normal.
  • Do not pick or peel the skin; allow it to shed naturally.
  • Avoid strong actives (AHAs, BHAs, Vitamin C, Retinol, corrective serums) for 5 days, or longer if advised.
  • Avoid heat and intense activity for 5 days, including:
    • Heavy exercise
    • Hot showers or baths
    • Saunas and steam rooms
    • Chlorinated pools
  • Avoid waxing, IPL, or laser treatments for 2 weeks.
  • Apply SPF daily and reapply every 3 hours if outdoors, sweating, or swimming.
  • Stay well hydrated and support skin repair from within.

Makeup is generally safe to apply immediately after treatment unless otherwise advised by your therapist.

Post-Treatment Skincare Routine

For the first 5–7 days, focus on skin repair and hydration:

  • Gentle cleanser
  • Hydrating serum (e.g. hyaluronic acid)
  • Repairing or calming moisturiser
  • Hydrating mask (recommended nightly for the first 5 days for PLASER Facials)
  • Broad-spectrum SPF during the day

💡 Tip: After applying your hydrating mask at night, do not rinse. Allow the serum to absorb, then apply your night moisturiser over the top.

Specific Treatment Notes

Plaser (Plasma & RF)

  • Mild flaking or rough texture may occur — peeling is not required for results.
  • Avoid strong actives for 5 days.
  • Heat exposure and intense activity must be avoided for 5 days.
  • Results occur deep within the skin, even if surface peeling is minimal.

FracSono + Celvix AirJet

  • For optimal healing and results, it is highly recommended to use ECLADO C.P 50 for 7 days or more following treatment.
  • Apply day and night, followed by a hydrating serum (hyaluronic acid).
  • This supports skin repair, barrier recovery, and enhances treatment outcomes.

Plamode & Energy-Based Treatments

  • You may feel warmth, mild sensitivity, or a tightening effect.
  • Skin often appears brighter, firmer, and more refined over time with consistent treatments.

Important Note

Advanced Skin Therapy treatments are results-driven and cumulative. Individual responses vary depending on skin condition, lifestyle, and adherence to aftercare. These treatments are designed to improve skin quality and function, not to replace medical procedures.

If you experience prolonged discomfort, unexpected reactions, or have concerns following your treatment, please contact us.

Inner LDM

LDM is an innovative skin revitalization and firming procedure that harnesses the power of dual-frequency ultrasound technology to provide a micro-massage to the targeted area. LDM is a great substitute for traditional anti-aging interventions, including fillers and wrinkle reduction methods.

Ultrasonic waves irradiate moisture in the skin is pulled up to the dermis, and moist, clear and tight skin can be obtained without irritation.

High frequencies are used in areas of the skin that require delicate and intensive care such as the eyes, forehead, lips and nasolabial folds.

All in One System with 8 auto modes for each skin type with the most appropriate frequency, intensity, and time for each skin condition, enabling professional special care.

Needle-Free MTS

MTS (Micro-needle Therapy System) is traditionally a mechanical acupuncture devise using very fine needles to stimulate the skin’s natural healing and repair capabilities, but SKINFUSION EVE is a new needle-free version of the MTS, meaning no skin-irritation, pain or needles.

The SKINFUSION EVE creates micro-holes in the skin without damaging the epidermis. Fast & deep penetration through the micro-holes that enables delivery of active ingredients inside the skin. It can increase skin absorption by at least 200%, which means the active ingredients reach all the way down to the dermis layer.

Ultra UV Protective Daily Moisturising SPF30 Mineral

This broad-spectrum SPF 30 daily moisturising mineral sunscreen is sheer and ultra-light. It is non-sticky, non-greasy, quick drying, and leaves the skin feeling soft and velvety. It protects against UVA and UVB rays, reduces blue light transmission and acts as a free radical barrier to reduce the effects of pollution. It is suitable for sensitive skin.

When used daily as directed, this sunscreen helps prevent the signs of premature skin ageing for more youthful-looking and radiant skin.

  • Reduces blue light transmission – which is associated with the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles
  • Light, sheer and non-greasy.
  • Supports skin hydration & moisturisation = supports the skin barrier.
  • Provides a barrier against free radical (unstable atoms that can damage the cells in the body.) which reduce the effects of UVA & UVB rays and pollution.

Why is sun protection so important:

UVA rays account for up to 95% of the UV radiation reaching the earth’s surface & can penetrate clouds & glass. These UVA rays play a major part in photo-damage & skin ageing. UVB rays are the chief cause of skin reddening & sunburn damage which can also lead to premature skin ageing. Both UVA & UVB rays have the potential to cause skin cancers.

For this reason, it is critical to choose a sunscreen that is ‘broad spectrum’. Broad Spectrum sunscreens are designed to protect against both UVB & UVA rays. A conventional sunscreen that has an SPF rating only & does not mention the term “Broad Spectrum” may block very little UVA radiation relative to the nominal SPF. The Ultra UV Protective Daily Moisturiser range is the essential last step to your regimen.

Eye Treatments

Before your EYE TREATMENT:

  • If possible, arrive with no eye-makeup, especially waterproof makeup.
  • Plan your day, as you cannot wet your lashes for at least 24 hours following the treatment.

After your EYE TREATMENT:

  • Avoid washing, rubbing or touching your lashes at least for 24 hours.
  • Do not use an oil-based makeup remover around your eyes as it causes the effects of the treatment to fade.
  • Avoid saunas, spas, swimming and steam.
  • After 24 hours you can apply mascara.

Before your ELLEEBANA LASH LIFT:

  • If possible, arrive with no eye-makeup, especially waterproof makeup.
  • Plan your day, as you cannot wet your lashes for at least 24 hours following the treatment.

After your ELLEEBANA LASH LIFT:

  • Avoid washing, rubbing or touching your lashes at least for 24 hours.
  • Do not use an oil-based makeup remover around your eyes as it causes the effects of the treatment to fade.
  • Avoid saunas, spas, swimming and steam.
  • Avoid sleeping with your face against the pillow.
  • After 24 hours you can apply mascara.
  • If your lashes slightly go out of place within the 24-hour period, simply take a spoolie, or eyelash/eyebrow brush to brush them back into place.

Massage

Before your MASSAGE:

  • Avoid eating a large meal at least 1 hour before your treatment.
  • Make sure you have increased hydration at least 24 hours before your appointment.

After your MASSAGE:

  • Hydrate. This is important. It helps the body to flush out any toxins that were released during the massage. Massage stimulates circulation. If you don’t hydrate it may lead to the experience of fatigue or headaches.
  • Avoid alcohol or caffeine for at least 12 hours or so. Both alcohol and caffeine are dehydrating which means it will make it so much harder for your body to eliminate the toxins that have been moved about from the massage.
  • Avoid strenuous activity for 12-24 hours after a massage.
  • If you feel sore, sluggish or a headache coming on, they are signs that the muscle tenseness has been released and toxins are making their way out of your system. If you want to ease the soreness, soothe muscles with either an ice pack or a bath. Drink plenty of water.

Facials

Proper before and aftercare is essential to achieve the best possible results from your facial treatment and to keep your skin calm, balanced, and protected. Please read the following carefully before your appointment.

Before Your Facial

To prepare your skin and avoid unnecessary sensitivity, please follow these guidelines:

  • Avoid active skincare (including Vitamin A/retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, exfoliating acids, or scrubs) for 3–5 days prior to your appointment.
  • Avoid excessive sun exposure, tanning beds, or sunburn before your treatment.
  • Do not wax, thread, or use hair removal creams on the face at least 7 days prior.
  • Avoid saunas, steam rooms, or swimming pools for 24 hours before your appointment.
  • Arrive with clean skin where possible (no heavy makeup).
  • Please inform your skin therapist if you:
    • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
    • Have any skin conditions, allergies, or sensitivities
    • Are using prescription skincare or medications
    • Have had recent cosmetic procedures (including injectables or laser)

Before Your PEEL Facial

If you are booked in for a peel treatment, please follow all of the above plus the following:

  • Avoid all facial exfoliation — including chemical peels, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, and facial waxing — for 2 weeks prior to your appointment.
  • Avoid saunas or swimming pools for 24 hours before your appointment.
  • Let your skin therapist know if you have recently had Botox, filler, or experienced any health-related changes.

After Your Facial

Your skin may feel refreshed, hydrated, and slightly flushed — this is normal. To support healing and maximise results:

  • Avoid makeup for 12 hours post-treatment.
  • Avoid saunas, steam rooms, intense exercise, and swimming for 24 hours.
  • Do not exfoliate or use active products for 3–5 days, unless advised otherwise by your therapist.
  • Keep skin hydrated and follow the home-care advice recommended for you.
  • Apply SPF 30+ or higher daily, even if indoors or cloudy.

After Your PEEL Facial

Peel treatments require extra care to protect the skin barrier and prevent pigmentation:

  • Avoid sun exposure for a minimum of 24 hours, and refrain from excessive sun exposure for 8 weeks following your last treatment in a peel series.
  • Avoid Vitamin A, AHAs, BHAs, exfoliants, or active skincare for 7 days.
  • Avoid makeup for 12 hours.
  • Apply SPF 30+ or above daily and reapply as needed.
  • Do not receive Botox or filler for at least 30 days after your facial.
  • Do not pick, peel, or scratch the skin if flaking occurs — this can cause irritation or pigmentation.

Important Note

Results and reactions can vary depending on individual skin types and conditions. Please contact us if you experience prolonged redness, discomfort, or have any concerns following your treatment.

Waxing

Before your wax:

  • If you are worried about the pain during a wax, take pain relief (paracetamol) around 30-40 minutes before your appointment.
  • To achieve the best & longer-lasting results, your hair should be at least 0.5cm or longer. If you have shaved the area within the last few weeks, it can take a couple of waxing sessions to bring your hair into a regular growth cycle (allowing for the most effective results – smooth and no hair!)
  • Exfoliating before your appointment also helps you to achieve the most successful results.

After your wax:

  • Immediately after your wax you may notice a bit of redness accompanied with heat on the area of the skin which was waxed. This usually disappears after a few hours.
  • You want this area to remain as bacteria free as possible so avoid the following:
    • Avoid hot showers for at least 24-48 hours.
    • Avoid exercising or any activity that causes you to sweat for 24-48 hours.
    • Avoid sunbathing for at least 12 hours.
    • Avoid swimming in chlorinated pools, spa baths or saunas for 24 hours.
    • Avoid touching the waxed area.
    • Avoid any lotions, especially ones that contain fragrances and other lubricants as it can cause a burning sensation) for at least 24 hours.

A few days after your wax: (to prevent ingrown hairs) + it also makes your next wax quicker and less painful!

  • Gently exfoliate using a soft brush or exfoliating glove to gently buff the area every 2-3 days.
  • You can also use products like ‘Bump Eraiser’ to help with this process.
  • Avoid shaving in between appointments.

Spray Tanning

Before your spray tan:

  • Arrive with NO make-up and underarm deodorant on your skin.
  • Shower & exfoliate well within 24-48 hours of your spray tan.
  • Do not apply any moisturisers or fragrances after showering as these can form a barrier to the spray tan solution and will reduce the likeliness of an even spray tan.
  • If you wax, make sure this is done at least 1-2 days before your tanning treatment (preferably 2 days).
  • If you shave, make sure this is done 24 hours before your tanning treatment.
  • Wear loose, dark clothes. This is to avoid your tan rubbing off onto your tight clothes, as your tan is still developing on your skin.
  • Wear open-toed shoes/jandals.

After your spray tan:

  • With ‘TechnoTan’ – wait 3 hours after your spray tan has been applied (unless otherwise indicated to leave on for a shorter or longer time). Do not leave on for any longer than the time the beauty therapist has recommended.
  • When you have your first initial shower, there will be a bronze colour that washes off your body. If you notice that your skin lightens during your first shower, don’t panic. This is just the bronzer washing away. The product will still develop on your skin over the next few hours (up to 24 hours).
  • Avoid any situation that is associated with water or sweat eg. no running or gym sessions until you have had your first initial shower.

How to extend the lifetime of your results:

  • Moisturising will increase the longevity of the tan, and will help the tan to fade evenly to not become patchy.
  • Avoid using abrasive skin washes/scrubs so that you do not strip away the tan.
  • Soap, shampoo and conditioners low in pH are ideal to conserve your tan. Avoid Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS) as this ingredient may remove the tan.

Meet Larissa!

Hello! I am Larissa Drummond and I am a fully Qualified Beauty Therapist with over years experience in New Zealand.

Throughout my entire life, Mount Maunganui was my cherished hometown. However, in December 2022, I established a new residence in New Plymouth. Since my intermediate school days, I have harboured a profound passion for the beauty industry. From a young age, I developed a strong inclination for taking care of my health, well-being, and appearance.

My true journey into the world of beauty commenced when I confronted skin issues, particularly acne. I explored various avenues to address this concern, including hormonal treatments, Accutane, and naturopathy. Although I observed some degree of improvement through these methods, it wasn’t until I embraced the naturopathic approach that I experienced a substantial transformation, not only in my skin but in my overall well-being. This personal experience underscored the profound interconnection between gut health, lifestyle, and their impact on physical and mental health.

“I firmly believe that our external appearance profoundly influences our internal state. This belief is what fuels my passion for my profession. Having the privilege to enhance someone’s self-esteem and overall well-being brings me immense joy and satisfaction.”

Qualifications include:

  • 2021 New Zealand Diploma in Beauty Therapy (Level 5)
  • 2020 New Zealand Certificate in Beauty Therapy (Level 4)

Meet Lala!

After completing my New Zealand Beauty Diploma, I began working in Queenstown. However, my heart was in New Plymouth, and I eventually returned, now considering it my hometown. After five years at a local salon, I decided to start my own business, which I’ve proudly owned for over 11 years.

“Everyday day I wake up excited to do what I love, and that’s making people feel their best. What motivates me and makes me deeply passionate about my work is the opportunity to make a positive impact on others’ lives.
