To ensure the best results and longevity from your manicure or pedicure, please follow the guidelines below. We use CND nail polish for our regular manicures and pedicures, and Gelish or Designer Nails for gel manicures and pedicures.

Before Your Manicure or Pedicure

Please arrive with nails in good condition and follow these guidelines prior to your appointment:

  • Avoid cutting or aggressively filing your cuticles for at least 48 hours before your appointment.
  • If you are booked for a gel manicure or pedicure, please ensure your nails are free of existing gel, acrylic, or nail enhancements unless the gel was previously applied by our salon.
  • We are happy to remove gel polish that was applied by our salon; however, this must be booked as a Soak Off & Gelish Manicure or Pedicure to allow sufficient time for safe removal.
  • We do not offer removal services for acrylics, hard gel, builder gel, false nails, or gel polish applied by other nail technicians or salons.
  • Please inform your nail technician if you:
    • Have nail or skin conditions (e.g. fungal infections, open cuts, warts, or infections)
    • Have diabetes, circulation issues, or sensitive skin
    • Are pregnant or have any medical conditions that may affect your treatment

For hygiene and safety reasons, treatments may be declined if contraindications are present.

After Your Manicure or Pedicure

To maintain your results and extend the life of your nails:

  • Avoid hot water, saunas, steam rooms, or heavy hand or foot use for at least 2–3 hours after your treatment.
  • Apply cuticle oil daily to nourish nails and surrounding skin.
  • Wear gloves when cleaning or using chemicals.
  • Avoid using nails as tools to prevent chipping or lifting.

Aftercare for Regular Polish (CND)

  • Allow adequate drying time and avoid pressure on nails for several hours.
  • Be mindful of tight footwear following pedicures.
  • Regular polish is not as durable as gel and may chip sooner with daily wear.

Aftercare for Gel Manicure or Pedicure (Gelish / Designer Nails)

  • Avoid heat and water exposure for 2–3 hours after your appointment.
  • Do not pick, peel, or force off gel polish, as this can damage the natural nail.
  • Gel polish should always be professionally removed.
  • Gel removals are available only for gel polish previously applied by our salon and must be booked as a Soak Off & Gelish Manicure or Pedicure.
  • Regular maintenance appointments are recommended to keep nails healthy and looking their best.

Important Note

We do not remove or work over acrylics, false nails, hard gel, builder gel, or gel polish applied by other salons. If you are unsure whether your current nail product is suitable or was applied by us, please contact us prior to booking.
